White Sangria

Barcelona Street Photography: It’s very cold in Chicago today, so here’s a sunny picture to remind you of the warmth of the sun. Only a week and a half ago, I drank this jar of Sangria while sitting in a bar on the beach in Barcelona. (In Barceloneta.) It was a good day, y’all. Cheers.Continue reading “White Sangria”

Fluffy European

Barcelona Street Photography: No offense to anyone, but I think the wildly fluffy dog in this photo stands out above the rest for cool style and attitude. I’m just sayin’. With love, ~Page Light Studios

Viva La…

Barcelona Street Photography: I felt eternally lucky to capture this amazing girl waving a Spanish flag while sitting on her father’s shoulders in Barcelona a few weeks ago. She’s cheering for her cause amidst hundreds of thousands of others, but she stood out to me immediately. With love, ~Page Light Studios

Chicago Street Photography: It didn’t take much to get this Very Good dog to sit still off leash while her owner took a photo. I, personally, have never had a dog who would stay like that in a public space. Very Good dog indeed. With love, ~Page Light Studios

Imitation Is Fun

Chicago Street Photography: See, Chicago is a fun, happy place, evidenced by these two young women smiling in the sunlight as they imitate the mysterious new statue that appeared downtown last year, of Abraham Lincoln explaining something to a random thirty-foot-tall dude. Confused? So is the rest of the city. But everyone is having fun.Continue reading “Imitation Is Fun”

The Wedding

Chicago Street Photography: This is a cool and common scene in the city in summer – Brides and grooms and wedding parties standing on the iconic red bridges downtown to pose for photos. I bet the close up professional shots are stunning. With love, ~Page Light Studios

Friends At The Pavilion

Chicago Street Photography:Ā I had to react quickly to get this photo of a group of women meeting up in Ping Tom Memorial Park in Chicago’s awesome Chinatown. I love their colorful dresses and the cool Asian architecture of the pavilion. With love, ~Page Light Studios

Daisies And Skyscrapers

Chicago Street Photography: It’s true, I am posting yet another flower photo. But I couldn’t help it; I think daisies are the most beautiful flower, and these were perfectly situated in front of the Chicago skyline. With love, ~Page Light Studios

Princess Fluffers And Her Royal Guard Dog

Chicago Street Photography: I am endlessly amused by surprises in street photography… I didn’t notice the watchful guard dog in the background until I uploaded the photo into Lightroom. Princess Fluffers was safe and protected on this day! With love, ~Page Light Studios

It’s still a favorite, after all these centuries! The first recorded version of the Pattycake rhyme is from 1698. Coincidentally, Boston Common, near where I took this photo, is the oldest city park in America, established in 1634. On Independence Day, 2017, this awesome girl is keeping history alive. With a smile. With love, ~PageContinue reading “Pattycake”

Boston Pops Camp Out

Having a picnic in Esplanade Park to listen to the Boston Pops Orchestra while overlooking the harbor at sunset is, apparently, quite the tradition in Boston. I can see why–it was a beautiful experience. These friends came prepared. With love, ~Page Light Studios

Boston Life

I love this shot of a young woman crossing the street in the North End neighborhood of Boston. She’s cool, modern and confident amidst centuries of fascinating and dramatic American history. Old and new. Evolution. Progress. With love, ~Page Light Studios

Harbor Selfie

Perfect moment to take a selfie: Boston Harbor in the background, Boston Pops Orchestra playing in the distance, and a crowd of people gathered to cheer for the coming Independence Day fireworks. I hope her photo captured the moment well! With love, ~Page Light Studios

Mardi Gras Bunny

My mind is in New Orleans, because I’m putting together travel posts about it. Meanwhile, here’s an unfiltered photo of a woman in a bunny costume, posing on Frenchman Street, just before the Krewe de Vieux parade is to begin, the first parade of Mardi Gras, 2017. Oh, NOLA, I can’t wait to come back.Continue reading “Mardi Gras Bunny”

Poke Pika Chu Cool Question Mark

Ok, so, either I caught an epic, major cultural and technological event for the history books, happening in real time, in the greatest city in the world, or… I snapped a photo of a human wearing a funny, fuzzy, pop-culture-related costume for attention in a popular, crowded and touristy city park. You be the judge.Continue reading “Poke Pika Chu Cool Question Mark”
